The purpose of this organization is to contribute to financial assistance to students in Japan
and abroad who are academically excellent, have high aspirations for the future, and by
developing useful human resources who can contribute to society in the future.
For those studying in Japan
Eligibility to apply
(1) Those who hold the nationality of an Asian country other than Japan
and are studying science and engineering at a university or graduate school in Japan
(2) Those who are in their sophomore or higher at a university and are age under 26 years old on
April 1 of the year of application
(3) Those who are currently in need of financial assistance for their studies, such as those who
have difficulty continuing their studies, and are not receiving scholarships or similar from
other foundations
(4) Those who are excellent in both academics and character and can contribute to international
understanding and friendship
(5) Those who can communicate in Japanese or are highly motivated to study Japanese language

360,000 yen / year

In principle, 2 years

Approximately 5 students / year

For those studying in other Asian countries

(5) Those who can communicate in Japanese or are highly motivated to study Japanese language
